Could be a replacement contender for my aging K800i
| | | The mobile phone company T-Mobile announced a first version of a new phone called T-Mobile G1 just a few days ago. The mobile phone will be the first to make use of the Google Android Open Source plattform. The G1 will be manufactured by Taiwanese company HTC and hit shelves on October 22 in the United States in colors white, black and brown. Europeans have to wait a little bit longer - as usual - before they can get their hands on the phone that is also known as the gphone.

There have been a few times where I've wanted to extract audio from video files, but it's not always easy to find a free tool that can successfully do that. I highly recommend grabbing the free Pazera app if you ever find yourself in a similar situation. To make it even more useful the program also doubles as an audio conversion utility.

| | | Disposable email addresses provide the user with an easy to access temporary email address that they can use to register to services on the Internet without having to think about protecting their main email address from spam. While most Internet services are legit and do not sell the email addresses of their users some do sell them. Once an email address is on a spam list it is close to impossible to prevent spam from arriving in the mail inbox.

Looks like a cool Wifi finder.
| | |  Windows/Mac/Linux: Free application Xirrus Wi-Fi Monitor is a cross-platform Wi-Fi tool that displays available networks on a very cool radar map. More specifically, the app searches for Wi-Fi networks, displays strength, detects rogue access points, and helps you tweak your network for the best signal. The downside: Xirrus Wi-Fi monitor is only available in widget/gadget/desklet form. That means that in order to use it, on XP and OS X you have to install the Yahoo Widget framework, on Linux you have to install the Desklet framework, and on Vista you’ll need to re-enable the sidebar gadgets. That’s all somewhat of a bummer considering the whole widget craze generally went out the door circa-2006. However, Xirrus remains a worthwhile application with an unquestionably fun execution. Then again, if eye candy isn’t all that important, give previously mentioned NetStumbler (Windows) or iStumble (Mac) a try.
